Re: the FIFA fine for the Outlaws,

What have you heard about reports of abusive behavior of Mexican fans toward US fans during the Gold Cup final? I read where fans of El Tri were hurling objects as well as epithets at US fans in a manner that went far beyond a sporting rivalry. As far as you know, is FIFA or CONCACAF looking into that? Thanks.

the difference being made is that AO are an official supporters club of US Soccer, where are the trouble in LA at the Gold Cup was with random people. that is an issue for stadium security, and US Soccer addressed that a few days after the game. They promised to work with CONCACAF (who's game it was, not US Soccer) to have better security at future games. And from everything I have heard the security at the USA v Mex game in Philly last month was quite good.

So in one way or another all these issues are being addressed.

Thanks.
So are the AO's known for being "over the top?" I haven't heard of any issues with them before, but that's only because I haven't been paying attention to them. I need to get out more often.
