Simon Kuper On Lyon

A new column from Simon Kuper in the London Financial Times about Olympique Lyonnais and their shot at winning the Champions League.
(Special note to Simon: Lyon will not get past PSV!)
The biggest reason I enjoy Simon Kupers writing so much, is that he brings a normal life view to the game. His stories usually involve the people in a city or a country and how the football relates to them. Its not just jocks, owners, politicians, and tabloid garbage, or straight-laced play by play game recaps.

Also - fifa.com has a story on the brilliant young Lyon midfielder from Ghana named Michael Essien (aka The Buffalo). All the big clubs are trying to buy his signature. I think he is good. (But not good enough to beat PSV.)
