Some Soccer News for Nov 20, 2017

It's Day 322 of 2017.

It will be very interesting to see who Portland Timbers hire as their new head coach. This has to be one of the Top 5 primo jobs in the league. I think this will tell us a lot about the leadership of the owners.

AMERICANS ABROAD

Jonathan Gonzalez went the full 90 for Monterrey on Saturday night as they claimed the #1 seed for Liga MX Liguilla. He has had one helluva debut season.

Shaquille Moore got his 1st start for Levante on Sunday, playing right fullback. He went the full 90 and they won 0-2 at Las Palmas. Fantastic for him.

DeAndre Yedlin set up the games first goal for Newcastle, but then Manchester United rattled off 4 straight. Oof.

EUROPEAN NEWS

I think the Dortmund head coach Peter Bosz has to be in his last legs with the club. After a fast and prosperous start to the 17/18 season they lost again this weekend and are now sitting on 2 wins in the last 10 games in all competitions (and 1 of those was against 3rd division team in the league cup.)

The president of the Italian FA has resigned today after they failed to qualify for the Mens World Cup. The same should have happened in the USA.
