MLS PLAYOFFS

On Tuesday Houston goalkeeper Tyler Deric was arrested on charges of domestic violence. He has been suspended until further notice. It sounds awful, but it also could be a weird situation. He is charged with headbutting his girlfriend. A few years ago he was also accused of harming her but it turns out she made the whole thing up and all charges were dropped. Not good for either person.
  • Houston will be missing the biggest contributor to them being in the playoffs. (4 shutouts in a row and counting) Deric was named MLS October Player of the Month.
  • Details on what happened. By Corey Roepken for the Houston Chronicle.
