Who expected Vancouver to be the front runner in the MLS Western Conference with just 3 weeks left in the season? Not many. But this is a team that several people who write about soccer regularly have seen as a challenger the past few years. A challenger that always fell very flat. Could this be the year. For some reason I can't explain I had picked Vancouver as the winner of MLS Cup last year - but not this year.
