- I will quibble with this part of the article: the bump in ticket sales for Howard's 1 home game had nothing to do with him. It was the 4th of July and the Rapids have a 20 year history of putting on a great fireworks display.
- But lets hope the addition of Howard and Jermaine Jones can wake Coloradans from their slumber.

What very real issues were tackled in that NYT piece? Guy seemed to imply that racism or Euro-style hooliganism that was responsible for Latinos not embracing the USMNT, then failed to produce much of anything in the way of evidence to back it up.

I wonder if USWNT GK Ashlyn Harris was left off the Olympics roster due to the silly yellow card she picked up by hauling down Lionel Messi in the Copa.
