MLS MATCH NOTES

Who picked Chicago as the 3rd team to hit the 50 point mark this season? Not many, if any! Wow, what a run they are on. And its all about the mid-season offensive minded pickups too! Chris Rolfe, Alex, Sherjill MacDonald and Alvaro Fernandez.
-But stalwart centerback Arne Friedrich went out injured on Saturday. Will that pull the solid defense apart?

dN

Dallas' win over Vancouver moved them to within 1 point of the Whitecaps for the last playoff spot.
-Vancouver has played 1 less game then Dallas.

dN

LA and San Jose just continue to roll.
-But the Galaxy's chances of catching the Earthquakes for the supporters shield are all but over. SJ is gonna have to fall flat to open the door.

I picked the Fire to go all the way, but that's mostly because my fandom knows no rational reality.

Please note that this does not mean I am not secretly pleased we're in second and coming on strong, especially after the loss of Pappa. But, I expected to do much better this year with the departure of our last head coach.
