STARTERS

The first ever MLS game will be broadcast on NBC this Saturday - 2:30pm CT - Portland v Seattle.
-A big day for the league.
At the end of the day today all MLS rosters will be frozen until the season ends.

Marcus Hahnemann has signed with MLS, and today we found out he is going home to Seattle! What a great backup goalkeeper signing for the Sounders. And a terrific lockeroom player.

DC United has lost captain and star Dwayne DeRosario for the rest of the season due to a sprained knee ligament.
-Last year at this same time in the season DCU lost red hot striker Chris Pontius to a broken leg and then nose dived out of the playoff chase.
