STORY OF THE DAY

New England drawing a close to their era with Shalrie Joseph as their captain caught everyone by surprise.

I guess the Revs have decided to dump an older player with a big salary.

I had found it quite surprising that he did not start last weekend in Philly. Now we know why.

And Shalrie tweets that he is not happy to be leaving: "1 of the saddest days of my life, I believed n trusted that I would retire a Rev. It's a tough business but am looking forward to the future"
