WHAT A JOKE

Remember the days when Toronto went nuts for their TFC? Those days are clearly over as the terrible team management has beaten the fans to death with one horribly run team after another, and last night only 5,324 turned up for the CONCAChampions game. Brutal.

ODD BUT 100% TRUE

The Foxborough Patch reports on the arrest last week of New England Revolution's French forward Saer Sene for multiple traffic offenses.

A couple of brilliant parts in the article:
-Police were parked next to Dunkin' Donuts when they observed him speeding.
-Sene exited the car saying "I play for the Revolution," like the cops would actually know what that means! Would be more useful to get out saying, "My coach played basketball at Duke for coach K."
Thanks for the link to Steve G.

DID YOU KNOW?

Don Ruiz of the Tacoma News Tribune coaxes not one but two geese stories out of Seattle head coach Sigi Schmid.

HMMMMM, VERY INTERESTING

Stefan Szymanski of Forbes tries to analyze where Manchester United would be today if the Glazer family has not bought the team 7 years ago.
-BTW: 4 Premier League titles and 3 runners up. 1 Champions League title and 2 runners up. Yeah not bad.

THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT

Jay DeMerit of the Vancouver Whitecaps writing for Goal.com gives us his diary from the All Star game.

"We arrive at PPL Park, and there is already a great buzz. We get into the locker room and our jerseys are all laid out and hanging in our lockers. I get a quick chill inside, an excited feeling in my belly knowing that not only am I one of the players chosen to represent this league, but tonight I get to play alongside the best in our game as well. Taking that in was a great moment."
And if you haven't seen the movie on DeMerit, don't be a putz, watch it right now, its really good.
