While listening to Jimmy Conrad's American Soccer Spectacular podcast, I heard Mr Soccer himself say something to the effect of, "MLS demands that players fork over their cut of any transfer fee, which is usually 10% of the fee." Wow. Never heard that before.

England national team coach Fabio Capello sure seems like he is trying to get fired after making remarks about John Terry, saying he was not included in the decision take the captains armband from Terry and the that FA had no right to do that. And why wouldn't he. Then Capello could walk away with a fat pay out, a martyrs pride and not have to face the wrath after another major tournament failure for England. It would be a brilliant move if it wasn't so transparent and pathetic.

Kenny Coopers dad a few years ago complained about the MLS keeping the players portions of transfer fees.
