ENDERS

Big kerfuffle in England today over John Terry being dropped as captain of their national team. Who cares?!?! Who thought this guy was a leader to begin with?!?!?

why are we playing against third world soccer nations like Canada?
Were ranked around 25-30 and theyre around 100 with Zambi and Iraq.

i get that its close but we should be playing against strong teams. ok, Italy is really strong but thats how you get better. Im sure there are plenty of teams close to our ranking and strenght that we could have come to the US.

Trinidad is also close and just as good as Canada internationally and THEY HAVE a pro league (it was started a dozen years ago to "to strengthen the country's national team and improve the development".

Heck, Iceland is only a few spots down from Canada and they also have a pro league.

This game does nothing for our NT's training.

As for the JT story, it will be a big deal if they fire Capello over his comments.
Terry is a douchebag but Capello is right: you cant make this decision until a verdict is made. We have presumption of innocence in this country even for rapists like Roethlisberger. This was the worst thing that Capello coukld have been handed. It would have been better to just suspend him but taking the armband and keeping him on the team is the kind of mixed message that the english FA specializes.
If some man/woman accuses Donovan of rape tomorrow, does the US federation suspend him or take his armband right away? Of course not. Thats not how we do it here.
