Some Soccer News for Fri Jan 27, 2012

STARTERS

Landon Donovan set up both Everton goals today as they knocked Fulham out of the FA Cup. Clint Dempsey was a non-factor for Fulham, who are terrible away from home. And of course Tim Howard guarded the entrance to the cave like a momma bear as usual for Everton. And a 4th American was even on the team sheets today as Marcus Hahnemann was the Everton back up keeper.

Dasan Robinson who suited up for a couple of different MLS teams over the last 5 or 6 years announced his retirement today.

DC has signed 30 year old Argentine centerback Emiliano Dudar from Young Boys in Switzerland.
-DC is his 13th team.

RSL has officially signed 26 year old Cuban defensive midfielder Yordany Alvarez who was on loan to them at the end of last season from Orlando City.

Toronto has signed 30 year old Ecuadorian defender Geovanny Caicedo from Liga de Quito.

San Jose has signed 31 year old Turkish forward Sercan Guvenisik from Preussen Munster in 3. Liga in Germany.
