MLS EXHIBITION GAMES

LA Galaxy Asia Pacific Tour 2011

A defensive disaster for the Galaxy in the Philippines! They gave up a goal! On the other hand they scored 6.

Match report from the Manila Bulletin.
-Some great quaint quotes from the article:
"Minutes after Keane's goal, a short shot that mesmerized Sacapano, the so-called "Blue-Haired Guy" named Ebong Joson announced that there was a missing kid named Vincent Ferrer.
After the announcement, Ferrer was found, the crowd was delighted but Cristman made it 4-1 in the 62nd minute off a Donovan pass."

-And:
"Manny Pacquiao was at the game and when Beckham went off he game his jersey to Manny.
After playing 75 minutes, Beckham came out in place of Jovan Kirovski then approached Pacquiao to give his game jersey. A smiling Pacquiao showed Beckham's gift like it was a world title belt."

USA U17 TEAM

The USA wins the 2011 Nike International Friendlies tournament title.

A decisive win over Brazil on Sunday gave the USA the crown.

So, just how good are these kids? Remember they are just 15 & 16.
The most amazing part to me is their awareness of where they are on the field combined with their cool heads when finishing. I don't know how they stay so calm and focused on the task. Most veteran pros can't do that.

Watch these three goals:
-Wesley Wade and Junior Flores combine amazingly for a Flores goal. Cool Calm and Collected.
-Rubio Rubin with one of the most deft touches you will ever see. Eyes in the back of his head and super foot skills to match.
-Flores turns provider for Wade as they turn the Brazilians inside out. Flores burns em and the Wade uses magic feet to score.

Sorry to pick at nits but is there a reason you keep putting the info about Phil Rawlins under the "NASL News" tag? Maybe a hint that Orlando will be joining the NASL again?... I think Austin was part of the NASL group.
