Some Soccer News for Mon Dec 19, 2011


Big Apple Soccer alerts us to a an interview that former New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul is accusing his former team of having a racist attitude when it comes to dealing with him and other players of African decent.


Edson Buddle who was given an early winter vacation by the new coach at Ingolstadt last week is in London for a try out with West Ham. We wish him all the best.

TEAM USA - EL EQUIPO DE TODOS reports that Klinsi has hired former Bayern & Werder star Andres Herzog as a new assistant coach. Herzog is from Austria, who also played 1 season for the LA Galaxy.


The USA U23/Olympic team is in Lakewood Ranch Florida until Dec 23 for a training camp.

Loved the Globe and Mail story about Fox Soccer Report. If Rafa is planning on two more years with Red Bulls it must mean no one else wants to pick up his big salary.
