Some Soccer News for Fri Oct 21, 2011

Fox has won the bidding for the USA English language TV rights ($450 Million) for the 2018 & 20222 World Cups. Meaning ESPN is out. And Telemundo gets the Spanish language rights in USA ($600 Million). Univision is out.

New York claimed the last available MLS playoff spot last night.
-Meaning this weekends final games of the regular season are all about seeding! (only 1 game will NOT affect the seeds)
-That eliminates Portland and Chicago.

The Finals

My team plays their home leg this Saturday.

Last chance to get your NSC Minnesota Stars tickets!

Brave New Media brings us their latest installment of MN Stars insider video footage from last weekends huge win in Cary NC.

The Stars will host an event to show off the new NASL championship trophy at Brit's Pub Friday night in downtown Minneapolis starting at 8pm.

The Dark Clouds pre-game tailgate will feature beer (must be 21) provided by the popular local brewer Surly, and tacos by the awesome Rusty Taco of St Paul!

Huge thanks to the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Vikings for stepping up and supporting our team by buying blocks of tickets! Fantastic.
