CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying
The draw was held today in Brazil.
And from the looks of things this is about as easy a path as the USA could hope for. No real threats until the Hexagon.
The USA enters in Round 3 (of 4) and has been drawn into Group A with Jamaica & the winners of what look to be the 2 weakest groups from the previous round (Rd 2) E & F.
-Rd 2 - Group E: Grenada, Guatemala, St Vincent & Grenadines, Belize. Group F: Haiti, Antigua & Barbuda, Curacao, US Virgin Islands
-Top two from Rd 3 go to Hexagon!
-Top three from Hex go to World Cup, and 4th place goes to home and away playoff with the winner from Oceania for another WC spot.

2 Comments:
Is it only be who thinks Mexico has a (decently) tough ask? They will probably also have T&T and El Salvador. Those aren't "easy" teams.
Yeah, I would say that Group B with potentially:
Mexico
Costa Rica
T&T
El Salvador
is tougher than a potential Group C of:
Honduras
Cuba
Panama
Canada
and Group A would likely be the easist, but even that with:
USA
Jamaica
Guatemala
Haiti
is still not a cakewalk by any means.
Somebody I read a few years back pointed out that if the US (or Mexico) is going to get knocked out of Concacaf Qualifying and not make the World Cup any time soon, the semifinal round (now known as Round 3) is actually a much more likely spot for a f%&k up than the Hexagon.
