Their Argentine playmaker Neri Cardozo is excellent, and he is surrounded by a veteran squad of 4 other talented midfielders. Young goalkeeper Jonathan Orozco has another veteran group in front of him led by Dulio Davino and Ricardo Osorio. Their coach is Victor Vucetich who has been managing for over 20 years winning 5 Primera championships along the way, the 2 most recent being the 2009 & 2010 Apertura with this Monterrey team.

BENNY FEILHABER

The New England Revolution found Feilhaber waiting on their doorstep yesterday afternoon and they did not hesitate to welcome him in.
-Here is the teams official announcement.

Will he play this weekend? He is in shape, and he would improve their attack no doubt about it.

What an odd thing his signing has been with MLS. Chivas had the first shot at acquiring him and passed. People were shocked. How could a team so in need of firepower turn down a high quality international attacking midfielder? But they did. Then Philadelphia was next in line and they took almost no time to say, "Thanks, but no thanks." Again, wow! So he fell to New England. They wasted no time.

There was a rumor that New England tried to trade him first. But that is obviously not the case.

Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle reported that Houston was trying to get their hands on Feilhaber.

Part of the problem has to be the timing of the signing. Most teams have a full roster, and no salary cap room, especially one to add a maximum contract.
