STARTERS

Real Salt Lake becomes the first MLS team to advance to the Semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Jonathan Tannenwald of Philly.com reports that JP Dellacamera will be the new voice of MLS on FSC! "Defelcted!"
-And Adrian Healy (former road manager of Lush!) will be the voice of MLS on ESPN.

STORY OF THE DAY

David Conn of the Guardian reports that English League One team Plymouth Argyle (founded 1886) has only a few days to find a pile of cash or they will have their doors permanently locked for them.

Real Salt Lake took apart Columbus last night to advance to the Semifinals.
-One problem though: With the score 2-1 and Columbus very much in the game RSL grabbed a 3rd that should not have counted. Javier Morales's shot went under a jumping Fabian Espindola who was offside by a mile, yet it was not called. Changed the whole game.
-A pretty decent crowd of 15,405 was on hand.
-And not to come off as a jaded dickhead, which I can be, I will be impressed when a MLS team knocks out a non-MLS team.

-In other words his buyout clause was too expensive for their taste.
