It's a friendly match week, with the USA training for 2 games in Cary NC.

Fulham gives us a clip of all 10 Clint Dempsey Premier League goals so far this season. That is the most goals ever scored by an American in one English top flight season. Lets hope he adds a lot more to that tally. (Thanks to Brian for the link)
-We know Clint is fearless but you don't really picture him as a guy with a lot of headers, so watch this and be amazed.

Mike Beamish of the Sun sees a pretty damn good debut by the forward who looks like an old Eastern Block prison guard - Eric Hassli.

USA U17 TEAM

US Soccer gives us a very interesting look at the U17 team in the recent qualifying tournament via assistant coach Paul Caffrey. He takes us through the roster selection and game by game analysis. Great stuff.

Barcelona has signed fullback Dani Alves to a new contract through the end of the 2014/15 season.

UEFA

Michel Platini was reelected for a 2nd term as UEFA president. No one challenged him for the position.

My guess is nobody thinks of Dempsey as scoring a lot off headers because he doesn't get that kind of service when he's with the Nats. Legit goals, the lot.
