QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Last year, I was so comfortable. I think it was the best year of my career.”
-Joel Lindpere, New York Red Bulls midfielder

FACT OF THE DAY

Cristiano Ronaldo has 50 goals in his last 51 games at Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi has 83 goals in his last 82 games at Barcelona.

You have to wonder though if this says more about their immense talent, or the severe lack of competition from teams not called Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain.

THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT

I got a nice little chuckle today when I was looking at the Section 8 website and saw the Fire's first home game of the season listed like this:

3/26/2011: (HOME OPENER) Fire v. Sporking Kansas City

I watched the highlights of Toronto's exhibition against Red Star on TFC's website, they actually looked pretty sharp for preseason. The team looks like they are combining with each other well.
