I saw something fascinating last night: The referee in FC Dallas v Orlando City game was using spray foam to mark off 10 yard lines for walls on free kicks. Its so damn easy, we need more of that. Will MLS do it?

Agreed. ESPN's coverage of soccer in America is embarrassing. They care about the World Cup, and the English Premier League. That's it. Sad.

Not a fan of the 10 yard line foam spray thing. To me the gamesmanship involved in lining up for a free kick is the only entertaining part of the whole ordeal. Of all the things that need changing in refereeing this hardly tops my list.

Referees have been using a spray to mark the position of the ball and wall for free kicks in soccer games of the Brazilian Tournament.
Its approved by the Brazilian federation but Im not sure about FIFA.
It most likely is to a certain extent.

Its also been used in Mexico and Argentina and id say I first saw it about 2 or 3 years ago in south america.
