STORY OF THE DAY
BREAKING NEWS: Richard Keys has resigned from his TV commentator role at Sky Sports in England.
The two men from Sky Sports behind the misogynist statements scandal in England have both apologized. But their approach could hardly be more different. One sounds sincerely sorry about his what he said, the other is sorry that his words were heard on TV, not what he said.
-"It was wrong. We were wrong, totally and utterly wrong."
Richard Keys, who was suspended but still have a job, has gone on Talk Sport and talked openly about what happened. Keys talks about how wrong he was in his remarks.
-"I am very sorry that certain comments made by me have caused offense. Such comments were made off-air to work colleagues, and were of course never intended to be broadcast."
Andy Gray, who was fired, issued a statement apologizing that comes off more like a self-centered whitewash. Gray basically says that his hateful words were wrong only because they were heard by the public. And he is very sorry for his lost job, which he says he loved.

2 Comments:
Sean Cunningham? Left back you say? Fingers crossed on this one
The poll doesn't surprise me because as much as I'm a USMNT fan or a Galaxy fan, I'm an even bigger Packers and Lakers fan.
It would be interesting to see if they re-did this poll, but allowed for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place votes as well.
