USSF Confirms D2 Sanctioning Denied to NASL for 2011 Season

"IMS has just gotten off the phone with a representative of US Soccer who reports that the board did deny sanctioning of D2 to the North American Soccer League. Story to come soon."

The hurdles never stop coming for soccer in America, especially the minor leagues. Now the folks in charge are really going to have to dig in and do some real heavy lifting.

STARTERS

Edson Buddle scored a goal in the 78th minute of his German debut with Ingolstadt against fellow American, goalkeeper David Yelldell. Unfortunately they gave up a late goal and only got a 1-1 tie.

The annual January training camp for young and out-of season players with national team potential begins tomorrow Tue Jan 4 in Carson CA and ends with a friendly game on Sat Jan 22 at the Home Depot Center.

And unfortunately he played 30 minutes for Leeds before heading out to Carlisle on loan in Fall 2010. Now what?
