dN

FIFA.com does a Q & A with Real Madrid's already legendary manager Jose Mourinho.

FRANCE

du Nord recap: #2 Brest saw their game postponed due to bad weather, which is bad news for them as Marseille won big leaping them over former #1 Montpellier (now 4th) and are the new top dogs. Lille & PSG stayed right behind but failed to take the top place themselves as they both tied their games. Chokers.

GERMANY

du Nord recap: Dortmund continue to pile it on at #1, winning for the 5th game in a row, while Mainz win to remain second, and don't look now but Bayern win again and move up to 5th. IF they don't finish 1st or 2nd this season I will eat Uli Hoeness's size 14 double E shoe. The other big story is Schalke's lack of ability to get away from the bottom, losing badly again and sitting in 15th place, one above relegation. "Paging Felix Magath. A Mr. Grim Reaper is holding for you on line 2."

dN

Raphael Honigstein of the Guardian on Hamburg, under-skilled managers, plus the rest of the weekend in the Bundesliga.

Recruiting Europeans with only nominal American connections to play for us, are we sure about this? It's kinda reminiscent of another era of American soccer. You don't want to pass on good players but this feels like the shady sort of stuff that I always like to think we're above.
