LAMAR HUNT US OPEN CUP

Seattle wins its second Cup in a row! Huge congrats to them and their awesome fans. (You have no idea how jealous I am.)

After going down a goal at home, the two huge goals that made all the difference came from a player who had never scored before Sanna Nyassi. What a night for him. (thanks to everyone who set me straight on this one)

No team had won consecutive Open Cups since New York Pancyprian Freedoms of the CSL did it in 1983!

Its being reported that with this victory the Sounders have officially sealed a place in the 2011 CONCACAF Champions League.

Stay on top of the Open Cup.

Why do I keep relying on my peabrain for these facts when I can just look them up.

The true sign of a know-it-all I guess.

I even watched the Seattle-Toronto game and saw him score that first goal.

Thanks Patrick.

No, thanks to you for putting together these news updates! It's a lot of info to keep straight!

Anyway, it's still very exciting for Nyassi, as he is new to this whole scoring goals bit.
