STARTERS

Former Mexico coach Ricardo La Volpe (you remember him: jeans, sport coat, mullet, mustache, cigarettes) has been hired to run the national team down in Costa Rica!

Portugal has fired national team head coach Carlos Queiroz.
-He is currently suspended for 6 months after it was learned that he interfered with player drug testing.
-And the team has started Euro qualifying with a 4-4 draw against Cypress followed by a 1-0 loss to Norway.
-He appears to be one of those guys that is a great assistant and terrible head coach, failing everywhere he has gone, yet continues to get great jobs.

USA WORLD CUP 2018/22 BID

The final day of the FIFA delegations visit to the USA is today, and they will be visiting Dallas and Houston. You can easily imagine those folks putting on a good show.

However, there were tragic tornadoes and flooding in Dallas last night and I really hope that all of our friend in football are safe today.
