Some News for Wed Aug 11, 2010

STARTERS

Lots of D2 teams in action tonight that are fighting for the last few playoff spots. See details in the USSF Division 2 section below. (My NSC Minnesota Stars are at the nasty-assed Portland Timbers.)

BOB BRADLEY WATCH

Aston Villa are said to be strongly chasing Everton manager David Moyes to take over the team. But why would he go to another team with a short budget. He already has that.

TEAM USA

The USA gave us 15 minutes of quality followed by 75 minutes of scared garbage. That ended up not even being worth our while to watch. Only 2 American players didn't embarrass themselves - goalkeepers Tim Howard and Brad Guzan. Steve Cherundolo was also spared, seeing as he was the only American on the roster not to take the field. (He had some sort of groin muscle injury.)
