Jozy Altidore and Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy centerback) have been added to the USA roster for next Tuesday's big game with Brazil.
Jermaine Jones has been dropped from the roster, so he will NOT make his USA debut after all. The story on why he is out say that his club Schalke want him to stay with them and keep working on his fitness leading up the beginning of the season after a full year layoff due to injury.
While Chad Marshall has been dropped too, as he tries to rest his seemingly constantly injured knee.
CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
The Preliminary Round of the knock out stage finishes up tonight. 16 teams are paired to play home and away for 8 spots in the Group Stage.

A little old but... Simon Kuper writing for Foreign Policy tells us that the World Cup recently seems to mean nothing culturally/politically on a historical level. (thanks to Sean for the link)

These are two of the best American soccer team logos I have seen lately. Both teams are in the NPSL, with potential to move up the pyramid.
-If you are going to be lame and put a soccer ball in your logo, at least have the style to make it look as original as Chattanooga did!

This is easily the best amateur team you've never heard of (when we have all our starters), in the best small city in the US you've never paid attention to, with the absolute best fans you've never heard of (all 4,400 per game of them!).
