BOB BRADLEY WATCH

Another crazy day of Bradley stories storming the series of tubes. First he has quit the USA, and will go to Aston Villa, then he won't...... stay tuned. I still stand by my initial feeling that it wont happen.

dN

And all the while Bradley and US Soccer have still not met to discuss his future as leader of the men's national team. (It's been 48 days since the USA was knocked out of the World Cup.)

CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

The Group Stage is begins next Tuesday. 2 groups of 4 with everyone playing the others in their group home and away for a total of 6 games. At the end, the top 2 from each group will advance to the semifinals, which will also be home and away.

STORY OF THE DAY

Craig Stouffer of the Examiner talks to DC head honcho Kevin Payne about why they are not giving legend Jaime Moreno a new contract after this season ends. Payne also says that change is definitely coming for the roster.

The Washington Post also does a Q & A with both DC United striker Jaime Moreno and team president Kevin Payne, talking about the end of Moreno's career in DC.

I know there is talk of Moreno playing for his first professional team down in Bolivia, Blooming, but does anyone think there is a chance that Bruce Arena might be interested in a veteran striker in LA? Arena sure seems to love his old stand-bys.

WHO KNEW?

Jeremy dropped us a note today saying that Direct TV has now added High Definition channels for both Fox Soccer Channel and Gol TV. Hooray really good picture!

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Is this the place where all the Bob Bradley chaos started? World Soccer Reader gave us this original story on him leaving team USA etc. Do these two phrases mean the same thing to you? I know it caused me confusion.
-"Bob Bradley Set To Depart As US Manager"
-"unlikely Bradley’s contract would be renewed"

HMMMMM, VERY INTERESTING

Joshua Mayers of the Seattle Times does a Q & A with Sounders midfielder and head coach Sigi Schmid on Nyassi's observance of Ramadan.

FACT OF THE DAY

Salt Lake is unbeaten in the last 20 home league games. Impressive.

Are you sure Kazlauskas was sent off? Match report on official league site shows him with only the yellow in the 72nd. The one in the 80th appears to be up for debate, some sites say Kazlauskas, but league report says Winkens.

Hey Ric
I am definitely NOT sure. I just read a match report and there were two yellow cards next to his name. Thanks for your info though. I will do my best to check it out.
