The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Currie Park is FINALLY going to get soccer fields!!!!!!!
-This has been way too long in coming. This neighborhood in the heart of our huge east African dominated neighborhood is about 95% concrete and the one park had a rat hole of a field (not even a real field.) I am very excited.

SOCCER IN AMERICA

WANE TV in Fort Wayne IN reports on their home town hero DaMarcus Beasley who is spending a little down time visiting family, and his soccer academy.

AMERICANS IN EUROPE

Greg Seltzer of MLS Soccer reports that Aris has not signed or renewed the loan of Eddie Johnson, so he is off to search for a new home. The reports says Johnson's asking price was too much for them.
-Oddly enough, he was basically replaced on the roster by Carlos Ruiz!
-Freddy Adu is still with Aris, but a new deal to keep him there is not done.
