The current deal expires on Jan 31, 2010. If no deal is in place by then the players could strike or the owners could lock them out.

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS STADIUM BUILDING

Who doesn't like pretty pictures? The kind folks at the Kansas City Wizards have sent us a watercolor illustration of their new stadium. It appears to have a very Red Bull Arena-esque roof on it.

SOCCER IN AMERICA

Bernardo Fallas has left the soccer beat at the Houston Chronicle where he did a great job for the last several years. A huge adios to Bernardo, and a big hola to the new boy Jose Ortiz.
