So much for Edgar Castillo's call up. The story I hear is that his quotes about being called in were made up.

No Jose Francisco Torres either.

How about Kenny Cooper?

And we miss all the potential MLS players from Houston, LA, RSL & Chicago because they are in the playoffs.

Who else should have been on this team?

Freddy Adu?

DaMarcus Beasley?

I saw speculation that Castillo and Torres might be called in later for Denmark only, as the Mexican league is not taking Saturday off. So they would play for their clubs and then fly over for the 2nd match.

Big shock for me is the return of Jeff Cunningham. I know he was on fire at the end of the MLS season, but does anyone think he's really likely to be in the 23 for South Africa?

I'm not sure if I'll try and make it down for breakfast at the Sweetwater to watch this one or not. 9 AM is a little tough.

More Eddie Johnson, has he really improved that much recently?

I think the MFL-based guys will get in on the Denmark game.

Even though I'm dying to see Castillo suit up for one of these games, I've got no issue with it. I don't like it when MLS guys miss their league games for a US friendly. So this is not much different.

Am a little surprised at no Cooper however.

Would also like to see Robbie Findley called up for Denmark if RSL get eliminated on Saturday.

Cooper is a good call.

Surprised by the lack of Adu, but assume it might be to let him try to get playing time with his loanee club.

Given the lack of CD depth, no Parkhurst?
