Some News for Thu Oct 22, 2009

QUESTION ON MY MIND

Who is going to MLS Cup in Seattle? I am. Let me know if you are.

STARTERS

Chicago needs a result tonight to guarantee their spot in this years MLS playoffs. 1 point is all they need, while their opponent Chivas USA is already in, but you can bet your bippy that they want the Western Conference #1 seed, and if you can believe it, they still have a shot at taking the Supporters Shield away from Columbus!

CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

This is the last round of the group stage.

Houston is out after losing to a team that had ZERO points coming into this game. That is very disappointing.
-But goalkeeper Tally Hall scored a remarkable goal from about 75 yards putting his goalkick over the opposing keeper who clashed with Brian Ching as the ball bounced free and into the net! Fantastic stuff.

DC will need help tonight from Jabloteh who must at least tie Marathon in order for United to advance.

Columbus advanced on Tuesday.

Arabe Unido of Panama joins Columbus, Pachuca, Toluca, Cruz Azul and Pumas in the knock out stage. 2 open spots remain.
