Jack Bell of the New York Times and Luis Bueno have each brought up new problems with the Barcelona-Miami bid in the past two days.

Bell explained how, with the single entity system and discovery claims etc., Barcelona would probably not be able to send its players to MLS.

He also pointed out that, since Barcelona is a Nike club, any Barcelona FC gear would not even be allowed to be sold at their football stadium. MLS has a contract with Adidas.

Bueno pointed out that the reason no CD Chivas players come over to Chivas USA is because they make more money riding the bench or in the reserves in Mexico then it they were starting here. Barcelona would only be more drastic.

Portland and St. Louis for me.

more late news. Sigi will be cleared for Seattle:

from the Ticker: The tampering issue surrounding Columbus Crew coach Sigi Schmid and the expansion Seattle Sounders FC apparently has been resolved.

The clubs reached a resolution on Friday, with Seattle agreeing to send allocation money and cash to Columbus, which Schmid led to the MLS Cup title last month.

Hey Bruce,

I didn't mean to imply you didn't have those. I just wanted to emphasize two of the articles you had posted, because I thought they were very important.

Thanks!
