You Try Climbing That Thing News

After losing their 3rd straight game in the CONCACAF Champions League, DC United appears to be all but done.

~and~

There are 2 very interesting articles in the MLS General News section that I think you should all read today. One on scheduling, and the other on fan interest/team location.

~and~

Grassroot Soccer had their big gala New York City blowout last night, but first they had the mid-day celebrity soccer game. While the flash was not as powerful as Steve Nash's affair a couple months back, the soccer geek factor was still sky high. Our main man SF from The Offside Rules took in the action for us. And let me state for the record that I am a huge fan of Leslie Osborne! If only she was Argentine.

That Pumas v Houston game was waaaay too much fun to watch. Every time a team came down the field I thought they just might score. It was that nutty. And while the defenses were weak, the offenses where beyond great. Cheers guy, thanks for the show. (Although again, like the game against San Francisco, Houston has to be kicking themselves for not bagging all 3 points on the road - they could have done it.)
