Move Around To The Side Of It News

A terribly embarrassing night for MLS in the CONCACAF Champions League. New England was assaulted 0-4 at home by Joe Public, and Chivas USA was held 1-1 at home by Tauro. It was really ugly, especially at Foxborough. There will be a lot of excuses flying today. And they all fall short of those scorelines.

~and~

Mystery Solved - the unknown goalkeeper I made mention of yesterday that was in a photo from Team USA training is Sam Reynolds, formerly of the Portland Timbers and now a keeper with Miami FC. Thanks to Jeremy for the knowledge.

"the decision by MLS to play right through international breaks ... What do the fans think? Do they even notice?"

We sure as hell notice in Toronto where 10 players are called up to international duty. 10 players!

With injuries, our bench will likely consist of an MLS pool keeper, one or two reserves, local semi-pros, Academy players or perhaps even no-one.

i saw the away thrashing that "joe public" (fully professional for close to a decade!) gave the revs in their stadium that looks alot like that of a mid size high school in southern california.

watching that game i thought "well at least the second leg in us will bring a better result."

but no. someone in the us needs to sign up that guyanese striker on joe public- he rocks.
