COLORADO RAPIDS

I think it is kind of stunning that the Raps have moved into the 3rd playoff spot in the West. It just shows that it will not take much this season in that conference. On the other hand, you can bet it will go down to the last game on the last day, just like last year.

ITALY

This calcio stuff never ceases to amaze/baffle me. Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari purposefully threw up an arm and lightly hit Catania defender Giacomo Tedesco in the face. Tedesco leaped off his feet and threw himself to the ground like he had been shot, or as Muntari later said "He went to ground as if struck by Mohammed Ali!ā€. All this with the referee standing 10 feet away and looking straight at the pair. Muntari got a Red Card. Tedesco held his face like it might have come unattached from his head. No chance of their being any blood at all. But now what does Muntari get? A 3 game suspension!!! Wow! The suspension is being appealed.
