Triple Hoop Jump News

When that Champions League game ended on Tuesday, I sat there on my couch and the only thought that entered my mind was this: Did I just watch Barcelona throw the game?!?!? How else do you explain all that talent, making so many bad passes, and creating so few actual deadly chances on goal? And you know what, when I woke up this morning, I thought to myself, could that happen? Because as dumb as the idea was yesterday, it didn't go away today.

I believe the playoffs or Liguilla work like this - the league is split into 3 groups and the winners of each get in, then the next 10 play home and away to leave 5 to join the 3. Those 8 play home and away all the way to the final series.
-Right now the 3 leaders are: Toluca, Santos Laguna & Guadalajara.
-And the next 10 are: Cruz Azul, San Luis, Chiapas, Necaxa, Monterrey, Pachuca, Puebla, Atlas, UNAM & Atlante.

Someone please set me straight if I am wrong about this system.

RE FMF: Top 2 in each group qualify, then the next 4 highest point totals qualify for the repechaje, or mini-playoff to qualify for the last 2 spots. Mini-playoff is a 2 game home and away thing.

barca havent scored a goal in ages. relatively speaking, they suck this year. only messi could break down the man u D. they dominated possession and still couldn't score. man utd didn't have many chances themselves but scholesy nailed it!

There is no way that Barca threw that game. I have to disagree. I think that they would come up with a better means of throwing it than dominating posession away from home. The sad truth at the Nou Camp (coming from a former resident of the city) is that Barca have not been playing well for quite some time. They will have to walk the hall of champions when they play away at Real Madrid, and that in itself tells you all you need to know about their current form. They need a change at the top, and it is coming. I think next season after a sell-off of quite a few players you will see a new team. (And hopefully, a better one)
