My Thoughts On Last Nights Game:
I watched the USA v Russia game when I got home late last night. It was an impressive USA win. Keep in mind they are playing on home turf (the game was in Bradenton where they all live, train and go to school together) and Russia was probably jet lagged, not to mention the fact that it was hot and humid. But there are some very skilled kids on our new U17 team. I will reserve further judgment about individual players until they have completed all 3 matches. It was also the first game for new head coach Wilmar Cabrera, who I am sure won't admit this, but is very happy to have gotten his first game in charge out of the way successfully. Now comes Brazil, who beat Turkey 7-2 earlier in the day.
