Good to see Altidore in the line up. I thought he might get the call up after the Red Bulls were bounced. I'm very interested to see the mix of Donovan and Freddy Adu. The only choice I don't get is Bornstein. So far I think Pearce has been better. Plus there are others to try.

ditto... Jozy is a great addition to the senior team.
Bradley can have options with a good range of attacking mids, play-making mids, and defensive mids,
Hopefully, he doesn't just cling to the latter. Clint, Landon, and Freddy can be played up top or in mid.
I can't wait for qualifiers to see this team running on a semi-regular basis. It's a pretty exciting group.
Yeah, Pierce should be in their in place of Califf or Bornstein.
Szetela should be there as well.
With just 17 spots if I counted right, there should be more room.

lets bench donovan. it'll do him some good. but i doubt it will happen and he'll probably play right mid. and onyewu clearly wasn't good enough for the premiership or did he not get a fair shake?

edit...
jozy can also play up top and at mid.

Seen in Arena's scheme at RBNY, setting Altidore wide left as the target or holding wing player. ??

Why bench Donovan? He's been consistently one of the best players on the team this year. It's time we, as fans, grow up and get over LD's 2006 WC.

Onyewu struggled pretty bad with Newcastle last year. He could have gone back to a team like Middlesbrough this year but the offers were pretty low.

I'm looking forward to Parkhurst getting back on the US Roster and the field after the MLS Cup. I still think he, rather than Onyewu, may be the future rock in the US backfield. I am also beginning to grow tired of watching Beasley play mediocre football.

USA 2 South Africa 1.
My starting eleven in 4-4-2:
GK: Howard
D: Bornstein/ Bocanegra/Onyewu/Cherundolo
M: Adu/Bradley/Feilhaber/Dempsey
ST: Donovan/Altidore
