Switzerland v USA
-Wednesday October 17
Live on Fox Soccer Channel at 1:30pm central time.

From our most excellent reader Bart in the South Seas: This link takes you to preview of this evening's USA-Swiss match. Article is on the site of the francophone Swiss television network TSR2, which is airing the game live. One of the many translation programs on the web can give you a gist of the story, which treats the Americans with respect while expressing hope that the Swiss get 2 wins in a week, following their 3-1 win over Austria on the weekend. The piece notes that the USA played "an excellent match" v. Brazil, and that it will be "fresh" Wednesday evening since it did not play on Saturday. Much of the piece naturally focuses on the likely formation to be used by the Swiss and who will be the key players in the squad put up against the Yanks. The article concludes with the observation that - as of Monday - only 11,000 tix had been sold for the match ("not a great popular success").
