Davy Arnaud & Chris Seitz are the big surprises here. I have thought Arnaud deserved it, but didn't think this would be the game. Seitz looked amazing at the U20 World Cup. No Twellman, Ching, Bornstein or Guzan though! All probably have big MLS games. I would suspect that MLS games being played next weekend had a serious role in the lack of the leagues players being available. What do you think?

In general, it seems that MLS games played a big role. Of the (only) 5 MLS players on the roster, 2 don't have a game this weekend (Arnaud and Johnson), 1 doesn't start (Seitz), and 1 plays for a team out of the playoff picture (Donovan). That said, then why is Mastroeni on the roster? Colorado needs to win against LA and will surely miss their captain.
The US-Brazil game should be really great! I can't wait for Sunday!
matt reis? has he gotten a call up at all?
altidore? when is he gonna get the full team call up?
I thought this was gonna be the obvious chance to give Altidore a shot.
Am I the only one curious as to why we have two attacking midfielders now listed as strikers. Just when I'd given up on asking why they continue to list Donovan as a striker when we all know that he is far more effective from a deeper position, they throw another similar midfielder on the roster as a foreward. For some reason this bothers me.
I'm sure scheduling had something to do with Bradleys choices. Altidore should get his chance, Bradley probably figures he is still very young, plus possible schedule issues. I hope Bradley tries a different defensive group with Jay Demirit and Heath Pierce starting. Leave Gooch as a backup. I think although they list Donovan as a striker he may not actually play that position.
The USMNT needs Donovan, and since Galaxy are technically still in the playoff hunt, Bob kept it even by taking Pablo away from Colorado this weekend. Both teams lose their captains.
Disappointed not to see Jozy Altidore on the roster. I know he's battling injuries but this would've been a nice game for him to get his first cap by playing the final 10 to 15 minutes.
Jozy is hurt he did not play his last MLS game. HE IS HURT. I'm going to go out on a limb and say thats why he was probably not called up for this game.
yeah, new york has all but announced that altidore is not going to be playing against chivas this coming weekend
