This is no surprise to those of us who didn't think he was good enough in the first place. The reason he was starting in Colorado is because they were terrible. Columbus Crew defender Chad Marshall is going to be forced to sit out the rest of this season after suffering his 3rd concussion of the year. This is really sad. I have always liked him as a defender, and even though he has not had a great MLS career so far, I still think he has the skills to be a great one.

After all the rumours about where he was going, I see that Danny Szetela has signed for Racing Santander. Don't know if that's an immediate or delayed transfer though.

Great blog btw. Always a good read.

Bruce,
Is there any update on Copa Minnesota? Last I heard they hadn't named an opponent and were planning on announcing a date change. Don't know if either of those things have happened since. Now, with all the Beckham news, the stories all mention the exhibitions in Vancouver and Australia but not this one. Any update?

You're right about your comments about Christine Daniels of the LA Times.
She loathes Team USA for some reason. I think it has to do with her politics. Then again, she is a troubled individual.
