Freddy Adu is all but gone. To Portugal. The deal is nearly done and he is already at Benfica, and I would assume he will start training with his new team right away. Benfica finished third in the league last year, but only 3 points away from winners Porto. The club is best known for legendary 60's & 70's striker Eusebio. This is exactly the type of club Freddy needed to go to, not some giant club where he would be lost in the shuffle.

Can someone explain something to me? How come Houston has almost no Latino players and tons of Latino fans, while Dallas has tons of (great) Latino players and almost no Latino fans?

They are trying to run a business at a profit so they can build their teams and league after-all. One good way to do that is my MAKING MONEY. This is how MLS is going to do in 20 years what other leagues took 50-100 years to do. Phil Neville of Everton has a few quotes at the end of the article on the state of the game in America too.

Interesting that Johnson is quoted as saying the rules are so unfair to TFC for not being able to sign an American Keeper - it's not as if he hasn't known the special rules that are in place for TFC - as a Canadian Team Canadian players are his "domestic" players. If he wants an even playing field, MLS should simply count his Americans as Domestic and ALL of his Canadians and any other misc player nationalities as SI. Can't have his cake and eat it too.
