The New York Times with a Team USA preview. The author, Austin Kelley, says Bob Bradley has faced "some criticism that he picked too many has-beens for the Gold Cup side." Huh? First of all, who criticized? I read every damn thing that is out there and I have seen nothing of the sort. And beyond that, if there was such criticism, who are these "has-beens" on the roster? Did this idiot just make this up to have something to write about? I challenge this writer to produce one piece of criticism of the roster! They also spelled DaMarcus Beasley's first name wrong: "DeMarcus". Who is in charge of the sports section of this esteemed newspaper?

Tobias Xavier Lopez of the Fort Worth Star with that old Jay DeMerit rags to riches story for the 1000th time.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Frank Dell'apa at the Boston Globe reports on New England defender Avery John who was one of the many top players suspended from the T&T squad for demanding his bonus pay promised by the federation after the World Cup. Why doesn't FIFA step in? Hahahaha.

Yea, but what color hair will they be sporting?

I love the owl. It's classic. Especially when the thing is swooping the players and staff and their all ducking.
