Steve Ralston had a HUGE impact on the US qualifying for the World Cup. We still would have qualified, granted, but that guy always seemed to turn up with a key goal or assist. Not a sexy player, but Ralston is always the guy who gives 100% and someone the US could always count on - can't always say the same about Beasley, Convey, etc. When everybody else was unfit or not in form, he was there for the US; too bad it didn't carry over into 2006 for him.

Nice little note about that; I didn't know either of those facts and I am impressed. Seems like he deserves every bit of credit, and in most cases, more.
