The political saga of public funding for a stadium in Salt Lake City just keeps getting uglier. (Even uglier than it's already been? How is that possible?) The main elected supporter is dropping the push and moving on to new projects. Dave Checketts has shown himself to be such a two faced weasel that his most ardent supporters are walking away. He was death for the New York Knicks who are still buried under his mismanagement a decade later, so this doesn't surprises me in the least. What Checketts really oughta do is put his money where his mouth is. Sad for the great fans who keep getting their hopes up. Article from the Salt Lake Tribune.

BigSoccer.com poster HSEUPASSION has started a thread about an article from Copenhagen Denmark where three big time European farmers want to start a new club in Los Angeles, specifically in Compton! Yes, Straight Outta Compton! The owners say if MLS won't have them, then they will head to USL. This is either genius or insane. I honestly can't tell which it is.

Chris sent us a link to video footage of this goofy fight, which was described by Football365 as "a drunken Daddy Long Legs attacking its own reflection." (That first punch by Diogo did land pretty strongly though.) Thanks Chris!
