Tiny Lil News

Grant Wahl at Sports Illustrated with answers to many questions, and real details, not the bullshit numbers that have been floated, on the Los Angeles - David Beckham deal. Look for new team colors to be announced soon too. (This makes me unhappy - I really like the gold shirts with green sash look. Great colors and fairly unique style. Boo Galaxy.)

Update: Sunday March 25 USA v Ecuador in Tampa Florida at Raymond James Stadium (Thanks to Ethan for the tip.)

It's a start.

New colors - none of which will keep worldsoccershop from running screen crawls during EPL games on FSC hyping Beckham green and yellow "replica" shirts.

Glad you're better.

Excellent article. Thanks for finding that.

I agree with you on the gold & green colors, they are pretty unique. Too bad they're not keeping them. Hopefully they'll find a kit that stands out as well as the green & gold.

New colors: Boooooo!

Seriously, they've cultivated the gold and green sash look as part of a reasonably strong brand. They should build on that, not throw it away.

last time I checked when you look at a galaxy you see stars on fire, with a mulititude of colors, yellows, reds, oranges, greens, light blues... I think they are thinking of space which is black or dark blue.

I guess that is why they are business men and soccer players and not astonomers.

I thought that the galaxy were classy as is. I guess they just didn't want to stand out. Navy blue now that is a a unique color that makes me think of a legendary club. pfff.

If you look really closely at a galaxy, you see a super massive black hole.
