Frank Dell'apa argues that the USA needs to play in the Copa America next summer, for Soccernet. At the end of the article Dell'apa says that US Soccer needs to learn how to keep a ball in the air. But to my way of thinking they will need to keep 3 balls in the air to pull this one off: 1) MLS regular season, 2) Gold Cup & 3) Copa America. That is real juggling.

There is a hilarious story on English tabloid paper The People, which says David Beckham has been in talks with "billionaire owner Philip Anschutz to play for the New York Red Bulls." [I deleted a bunch of self-indulgent editorialzing, cuz I had my facts wrong, and I want to thanks the readers who set me straight.] The story goes on to say that in addition to Becks playing in New York, Mrs Becks plans to re-launch her career in America. She had a career in America before? Do they mean her gig with one hit wonders the Spice Girls? Good luck Mrs B. The story also says the couple are buying a jet plane for $2million. You can't get a jet for that kind of money can you? Maybe a nice little Cessna Twin Prop. In the end the story says Becksypoo will probably still stay in Madrid at least another 2 years before coming to America though. Well, we just can't wait!

That UK tabloid story actually does note that Anschutz no longer owns the Toros, but is trying to facilitate a deal for the good of U.S. soccer or some such. Or maybe Agoos has hired Phil as a scout!
hey west ham are magic,

So Steve Nash is in Italy for preseason. Well, at least his brother Martin can win a championship of some sort. Congrats to the Whitecaps!
Come on, go easy on Posh, the Spice Girls had the #1 selling album on 1997 in the U.S. and made a movie...that is better than a one hit wonder....plus sporty spice is still cranking out the hits in her solo career...and baby spice...okay enough joking, they are crap...if Beckham continues to ride the bench in Madrid and doesn't ever get called back into the england squad...he will end up leaving before his contract extension is up.
I'm not trying to jump on a dog pile but there are jets out their for 2 million dollars and less. There not big but they are private jets.
Also, most Cessnas I see are no where near 2 million. The most expense one I saw on like was about 500,000.
shit - if planes are that cheap why haven't we all bought one yet!!! hahahaha
i like it when readers do the research that i should have done before i acted like i know what i am talking about
